Hey There!

Hi there! I’m Madison Vancore—though I go by ‘Spence,’ my maiden name. I’m a freelance theater technician with a love for everything behind the scenes—whether it's stage managing, lighting, rigging, or sound; I’m all in. Right now, I am currently in my second season at the Utah Shakespeare Festival in Cedar City Utah. I am working in a rotating rep fashion on Something Rotten and She Loves Me in the Randall . Jones. L Theater.

Before the season started this year, I was on tour with the NETWorks Production of ‘The Book of Mormon’ as the Head of Props I’ve had the chance to work on a wide range of shows, from local productions to circus shows and even live performances on cruise ships.

Honestly, what I love most is that every show is a new adventure. There’s always something to figure out, a problem to solve, and a way to make everything run like clockwork. It’s fast-paced, it’s chaotic, but it’s totally my jam.

When I’m not backstage, you can find me outdoors! I have loved traveling so much and getting outdoors whether it be the national parks we are surrounded by or the local trails around the town we are visiting. I’m also an avid runner with a passion for racing. So far, I’ve completed a marathon, a 10K, and seven 5Ks. Currently, I am participating in Alex’s Lemonade Stand’s Million Mile to raise awareness for Childhood Cancer.
